The City of Weatherford Pioneer Center has been serving Weatherford and surrounding areas since April 1990. Pioneer Center has become well known and established as both a Senior Citizens Center and a Community Center. The 12,000 square foot facility, one of the largest and finest of its kind in the State of Oklahoma, hosts 3,000 to 5,000 people each month for various activities and events.

The Pioneer Center provides arts, crafts, music, games, exercise programs, health services, socia events and special holiday celebrations.

The CADC Nutrition Program provides a noon meal for senior’s Monday – Friday at a nominal cost. A homebound meals program is also provided. Please contact the Center is you would like to participate in either of these programs.

Special Bus Program for Seniors: Each day the center sends out its 12-passenger bus to pick up folks for the lunch-time nutrition program, Monday – Friday. In addition, the bus program will take passengers shopping on Tuesday afternoons. If you would like to have bus transportation to the center, please give them a call the morning you wish to attend.

Additional special Senior programs: Once a month, the center hosts Sr. night out and also once a month, they host Daytime Adventure. This program provides local day trips.

The center is available for public use. The center has become a popular place for banquets, reunions, showers, business meeting and parties.
