About War Memorial

This three-stone memorial is a tribute to Custer County soldiers who died in any of the five American Wars: Civil War, World War I, World War II, Korea and Vietnam.

The Memorial is sponsored by County VFW Posts and by various donors whose names are inscribed on bricks at the base of the memorial.

This tribute to our military history was unveiled and dedicated in Weatherford’s Heritage Park on July 4, 1993.

About Legion Veterans Memorial

A memorial flying the American flag and the flags for the six branches of service. Pillars of Honor and Bricks of Honor celebrate veterans who have served and the six branches of services. The Memorial thanks those who have served, who are serving, who will serve, and those who gave their all.
